Who said you can't have fun at a plastics machinery plant?

Check out this popular dance video released by Guangdong Yizumi Precision Machinery Co. Ltd. earlier this month.

You may or may not like their particular choice of background music, choreography, or someone missing the beat. But they surely look like they are having lots of fun.

Yizumi marketing manager Zhao Xuemei told me the video was produced as a corporate engagement campaign for their annual employee town hall meeting.

Yizumi Chairman Chen Jingcai (center, in vest) and CEO Richard Yan (center, in glasses) participated as well.

At this year's NPE show in Orlando, Fla., Chen showed much enthusiasm about employee engagement. He told me about the Yizumi sports park that has a soccer field, basketball field, tennis courts as well as many indoor amenities such as badminton and pingpong rooms. He said the company wants to take good care of the employees and make sure they are happy.

He described the company as young and passionate — just like the video clip shows.

He said the company aims to provide a stage where young people can make their dreams come true. Hence the theme line at the end of the video — “[There are] stages everywhere”. That's what the Chinese line translates literally, although their English version is “There is showcase everywhere.”
