INDIANAPOLIS — The national office of the American Mold Builders Association recently awarded $10,000 in scholarship funds for 2015.
The scholarships are awarded to employees or dependents of employees of AMBA-member companies. The program's priorities are for students interested in mold design, CAD/CAM programming for machine tools, machine tool skills or mold making; plastics industry manufacturing (including plastics engineering, plastic part design or plastics processing technicians); or other related areas of continued training/education.
AMBA awarded $1,000 each to: Christian Seaver, attending Muskegon Community College (Viking Tool & Engineering Inc.); Andrew Davis, attending Waukesha County Technical College (Imperial Tool & Plastics); Corey Bucholz, attending Moraine Park Technical College (RAM Tool Inc.); Jeremy Palmer, attending Precision Manufacturing Institute (Tech Molded Plastics); Justin Pickar, attending Saint Paul College (Mo-Tech Corp.); Thomas Lang, attending Waukesha County Technical College (Imperial Tool & Plastics); Austin Harris, attending Tri County Technical College (JMMS Inc.); Taylor Beck, attending Precision Manufacturing Institute (Tech Molded Plastics); Robert Weaver, attending Saint Paul College (Mo-Tech Corp.); and Cody Smits, attending Ferris State University (CS Tool Engineering).
AMBA's national scholarship program to date has awarded more than $253,000 since its inception in 1991. AMBA is based in Indianapolis.
