Davis-Standard LLC has announced its dsX flex-film line for blown film.
Target applications include films for laminating and converting, bag-making shrink film, hood shrink film, collation film, multi-unit packaging films, roll stock and surface-print films.
The technology supports flexibility of the equipment, options for greater efficiency, fast delivery and local service.
“We believe this value-added system strengthens the marketplace by offering a high-level option to processors who seek a cost-competitive U.S. manufacturing system,” said Tom Kennedy, vice president of blown film at Davis-Standard.
The dsX flex-film is available in 1,900 millimeter, 2,200 mm and 2,500 mm sizes. It is equipped with Davis-Standard extruders, feedscrews, air rings and dies with from one to nine layers. Most deX flex-film lines also feature the company's compact Vertex die, which supports high internal bubble cooling air exchange rates, streamlined polymer flow, low residence time, fast flushing and excellent thickness control, according to the company.
Davis-Standard is based in Pawcatuck, Conn.
