BinMaster of Lincoln, Neb., introduced two new level-sensing products: a mercury-free tilt switch and a sensor for mounting on the side of a bin, tank or silo.
The BM-TSM tilt switch mounts at the top of the bin and sounds an alarm when material rises and tilts the switching mechanism by 15 degrees. The shaft of the tilt switch is custom-made in lengths from 1 to 8 feet long, depending on the distance from the top of the bin an alert should be activated. The unit is available with either a paddle or a sphere mounted at the end of the shaft.
The new SmartBob HM — for horizontal mounting — is a weight-and-cable based level sensor for side mounting. BinMaster custom-makes a rigid extension from 12 to 6 feet long to install on the side of the bin, through a four-inch opening. It works like an automated tape measure, eliminating the need to climb into bins for manual measurements, the company said.
BinMaster is a division of Garner Industries.
