UNIONTOWN, OHIO — Paladin Sales is selling the Optimax Rotoload, an automatic weigh powder dispensing system for rotational molding, made by Wittmann Canada Inc.
In June, the Canadian Plastics Industry Association gave Wittmann Canada President Rob Miller a Plastics Innovator Award for the Rotoload product line. Rotoload “will greatly improve the productivity, safety, effectiveness and hard consistency of the process,” CPIA said.
The CPIA award was part of the trade group's 2015 Plastics Industry Leadership Awards.
The Rotoload is a dispensing hopper run by a Siemens controller. It is available in models that can handle 50, 150 and 300 pounds. The material is automatically dispensed by weight; operators direct it into the mold. The unit is has an automatic vacuum refill.
Rotoload is available in an integral or central configuration.
Paladin Sales in Uniontown is run by rotomolding consultant Terry Gillian.
Paladin also is selling the EZ Logger, a compact and portable wireless transmitter that gives a continuous, real-time measurement of in-mold temperature throughout the heating and cooling cycles of rotomolding. EZ Logger can help determine a range of key parameters, including: the internal air temperature and the heating rate, when material begins to stick to the mold, when material is built up on the mod, peak internal air temperature (PIAT), the cooling rate of the molded part, when material crystallizes and the best inner air temperature for de-molding.
The temperature data, signal strength and battery level are displayed on a customer's supplied laptop. Readings can be analyzed and saved, then printed out or exported to a spreadsheet.
