France-based Lineo, a company which produces flax prepregs has announced it is moving activities from Lineo NV in Belgium to Lineo SAS in France.
François Vanfleteren, managing director of new development for Lineo, told Plastics News Europe that the Belgium plant will soon be closed, but that no one will be fired as staff at that location were provided by Libeco-Lagae. PNE is a sister publication of Plastics News.
Vanfleteren noted that in France, Lineo has hired an engineer in charge of industrial developments and a new sales manager in the form of Jacqueline Roudot. The company is also planning on hiring an extra person this year.
Lineo states that it specializes in the impregnation of flax reinforcement with epoxy resin. It has been involved with research and development projects using flax reinforcement in composites for the auto and aerospace industry along with production of parts used by recreation and sporting goods makers.
