Luxembourg-based caps and closures maker Procap has changed its name to United Caps Luxembourg SA as part of a new growth strategy.
The family-owned business has seven manufacturing facilities and supplies customers throughout Europe.
Following the name change, United Caps announced Philippe Thivet as its new chief innovation and coaching officer and Astrid Hoffmann-Leist as director of marketing and communications.
They join the current management team led by CEO Benoît Henckes.
The company is its research and development center in Messia, France, will focus on strengthening the new product pipeline. The company opened a new plant in Ireland in 2014, upgraded and expanded its plant in Hoboken, Belgium and just launched a new facility in Schwerin, Germany.
United Caps has more than 75 years of experience in plastic and combining the material with other applications, including in-mold labeling, multi-component assembly, ultrasonic welding, different sorts of tamper evident bands and others.
Henckes said: “Our move to becoming United Caps sets our direction for the future. It's the beginning of the path to expanding our horizons. It represents our efforts to truly unite all the companies we've brought together.”
