Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder paid a visit to Guangzhou, China-based leading compounder Kingfa Science & Technology Co. Ltd., which established a subsidiary in Ann Arbor earlier this year and looks to expand in the U.S.
Kingfa said it hosted Snyder on Aug. 26 and discussed future business development and cooperation opportunities.
Kingfa chairman Yuan Zhimin, general manager Li Nanjing, product R&D director Ye Nanbiao, and Kingfa USA deputy general manager Zhang Shizhong attended the event.
According to a statement from the State of Michigan, the governor was leading his fifth investment mission to China to promote business development and to look to increase markets for Michigan-made products.
In Feb., Kingfa invested $17.9 million in a new subsidiary in Michigan, developing new products and technology, the statement said.
Kingfa said it expects its U.S. subsidiary to help it become more global, increase market share and improve service efficiency.
