Pall Filter Specialists Inc. plans to eliminate 28 jobs at its Michigan City, Ind., facility, according to a notice listing posted with the state of Indiana.
The company lists its headquarters and a manufacturing facility in Michigan City. It has seven manufacturing sites worldwide, including two more in the United States: in Soddy Daisy, Tenn., and Grand Island, Neb.
According to its Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notice filing, Pall Filter will begin a phased layoff on Nov. 15. The company did not respond to requests for further information.
The company makes filtration products including vessels, bags and cartridges. It was established in Michigan City in 1972.
Filter Specialists was acquired by Pall Corp., a filtration, separation and purification company based in Port Washington, N.Y., in May 2014.
Pall Corp itself was taken private when it was acquired by Danaher Corp. in May 2015.
