Dennis Stuhlman, a longtime executive in the PVC pipe and conduit market, died Aug. 8 at age 67.
Stuhlman had wrapped up a 41-year plastics career in April when he retired from Heritage Plastics, a PVC extrusion firm that was acquired in 2013 by Atkore International Inc. Stuhlman had worked out of Carrollton, Ohio-based Heritage's Texas office.
Stuhlman — a native of Los Angeles who served with the U.S. military in Vietnam — had been with Heritage since 2006. Previously he had worked for PVC pipe maker Cantex Inc. of Forth Worth, Texas. Both Heritage and Cantex rank among North America's 30 largest pipe, profile and tubing extruders, according to Plastics News rankings.
Survivors include Stuhlman's wife Cathy, two daughters and two grandchildren.
