Well, Pack Expo Las Vegas has come and gone once again this year, and this time around it was what organizers call a “record-breaker.”
The show, produced and owned by the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI), saw attendance jump 4 percent over the last Pack Expo Las Vegas held in 2013. Nearly 29,000 folks came to southern Nevada to look at packaging and machinery, talk packaging and machinery and buy packaging and machinery.
A total of 2,006 exhibiting companies used more than 844,000 square feet of exhibition space. Those also are Pack Expo Las Vegas records.
Pack Expo Las Vegas was collocated with Pharma Expo and held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from Sept. 28-30.
“The power of Pack Expo brands continues to show consistent growth and provide solid returns for the attendees and exhibitors who support the show,” said Jim Pittas, vice president of PMMI, in a statement.
A larger version of the show, called Pack Expo International, heads back to McCormick Place in Chicago next year, Nov. 6-9. That show is expected to attract more than 50,000 attendees and more than 2,300 exhibiting companies.
