Spain's Grupo Antolin will spend $13.7 million to locate two new facilities in Louisville, Ky., with the project scheduled to begin this month.
The investment includes new equipment, facility upgrades and lease costs for two buildings, according to an announcement from the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development.
Grupo Antolin also operates a plant in Hopkinsville, Ky., employing 350. The new plants are expected to create 200 jobs.
The company was approved for up to $4 million in performance-based tax incentives by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority, the release indicates.
Based in Burgos, Spain, Grupo Antolin manufactures automotive interior components including doors, trim and instrument panels. The company recently closed on its acquisition of Canadian supplier Magna International Inc.'s interiors operations, a move that roughly doubled its size.
