B&P Process Equipment and Systems LLC, the Saginaw, Mich.-based maker of batch mixers, extruders and centrifuges, has integrated the Littleford Day business after acquiring its assets earlier this year.
The move boosted B&P's position in batch and continuous mixing in markets including pharmaceutical, chemical, food, plastics, animal nutrition and coatings.
The former Littleford Day business is now being conducted by Littleford Day LLC, in Saginaw. The company has put in place aftermarket services.
A portion of B&P's 16,000-square-foot Technology Demonstration and Development Center has been dedicated to meeting the needs of Littleford Day customers. B&P has invested in new equipment, and modernized its facilities to accommodate the testing of Littleford equipment, along with B&P machinery.
“Littleford's expertise in batch and semi-continuous processing solutions meshes well with B&P's expertise in continuous processing innovation,” said B&P President and CEO Larry Slovin.
Bob Lytkowski, B&P vice president of sales and marketing, said the acquisition has strengthened the company's product line. “Now we're able to offer an even more comprehensive lineup of solutions for mixing-related applications,” he said.
