At the Interplastica show in Moscow, Wittmann Group will present its latest cleanroom technology — the all-electric EcoPower injection molding machine.
The company will mold a polypropylene tray for contact lenses on an EcoPower 110/350.
The machine comes with a “clean package” that includes a water cooling system for the entire machine with a closed cooling circuit, nickel-plated mold fixing plates, the use of food-grade lubricants and a special detergent- and disinfectant-resistant coat of paint. The machine also comes with a laminar flow box, a reject separator and an encapsulated cleanroom conveyor belt below the clamping unit - all from Germany's Max Petek Reinraumtechnik.
The Wittmann Battenfeld operation is based in Kottingbrunn, Austria. The company's U.S. operation, Wittman Battenfeld Inc., is in Torrington, Conn.
