The Chinese plastics machinery industry has become a growing customer base for advertising in New York's Times Square.
This week, Guangdong Yizumi Precision Machinery Co. Ltd. is showcasing its products at the “advertising mecca of the world.”
An important theme of Yizumi's Times Square presence is the holiday greetings for the Chinese New Year, also called the Spring Festival. It's a week-long holiday that starts on Feb. 7 the New Year's Eve. China will stay in holiday mode until Feb 15.
Yizumi said it's one of the 100 Chinese companies behind the four-day (Feb. 7-10) ad campaign in Times Square. That's an interesting organized group purchase of advertising. Yizumi is the only plastics machinery company in this campaign, it said.
The ad highlighted Yizumi's DP series two-platen injection molding equipment as well as a die-casting machine and a rubber injection molding machine.
The Shunde-based company is committed to becoming what it calls a world-class enterprise. In 2015, it acquired new property in Ohio to expand its North America subsidiary HPM. In 2016, with newly appointed Chief Strategy Officer Hans Wobbe (former Engel CTO), Yizumi said it aims to deliver steady growth and upgrade its products and brands.
Yizumi is not the first machinery maker to show up in Times Square. In October Haitian International Holdings Ltd. was part of previous ad campaign by Chinese companies in the tourist spot which claims to have 300,000 pedestrian visitors every day.
