This is not a post about politics. It just happens to involve politicians and a company in the business of selling large vinyl wall decorations.
Over at our sister publication, Crain's Detroit Business, reporter Bill Shea has a story on the brisk business at Fathead LLC's politicians line of peel-and-stick vinyl wall graphics.
Fathead, which is based in Livonia, Mich., has a steady business making vinyl graphics for sports and entertainment standouts, from life-sized basketball players to the droid BB-8 from the most recent “Star Wars” movie.
As voting was underway in a dozen states during “Super Tuesday,” Fathead reported that for its buyers, GOP candidate Donald Trump was leading the field, accounting for 79 percent of sales from its Republican side and 64 percent for sales from both the Republican and Democratic Fathead sales. (On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton items were leading Bernie Sanders with 54 percent of sales.)
