Automotive injection molder Proper Polymers will invest $15.45 million to build and staff a new manufacturing facility in Greenville, S.C.
The new plant will initially span 50,000 square feet and will be expandable up to 100,000 square feet, a news release from the office of South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley indicates. The company also operates a 90,000-square-foot production and tooling facility in Anderson, S.C., as well as locations in Warren, Mich. and Pulaski, Tenn.
The facility is expected to be operational in October 2016, with the bulk of hiring to occur in the second and third quarters of 2017. Proper Polymers is a division of Warren-based Proper Group International, which also includes tooling and prototyping divisions.
