Mexico City — Do you want to see something big and strong at Plastimagen?
Sepro Mexico is running a Strong 50 robot at Plastimagen in Booth 1222. This is the first time the Strong robots have been shown in Mexico. Three Sepro robots are running at the trade fair.
The new Strong 50 robot is sized to with injection molding machines with clamping forces from 1,000 to 1,600 tons. The horizontal strike is 3,000 millimeters. The Strong 50 has a payload of 40 kilograms.
The new Strong 50 is part of a line of large robots designed to make three-axis servo-speed and precision available to injection molders with applications that require simple pick-and-place automation and simple downstream operations. Sepro's design approach and production methods have created the affordable robot with enhanced capabilities.
Sepro Mexico is based in Queretaro. It is a unit of the French robot maker Sepro Robotique, offers two other sizes of the Strong – the Strong 40 with a payload of 20 kg, for injection presses from 700-1,000 tons; and the Strong 60 that can carry a load of 50 kg, for use with presses from 1,600-2,800 tons.
Sepro robots also are running in other booths during Plastimagen: a mid-sized Success 33 is monted on an EN 220-ton press at Romi (Booth 326). A smaller Success 22 is working on a Sumitomo-Demag SE press at the Stand of Avance Industrial, (Booth 1214).
