Klöckner Pentaplast Group is expanding operations at a Gendorf, Germany, plastic film manufacturing plant.
The increased production “will have multiple polymer capabilities to meet the growing demand of the shrink label marketplace,” the company said.
Production could begin as early as the third quarter and work on the expansion should be completed during the first quarter of next year, the Montabaur, Germany-based company said.
“The additional capacity, multi-polymer capabilities, shorter lead times and local production is in the continued support of our customers and the overall growth of the marketplace,” said Phil Heyworth, group vice president of labels, in a statement.
Klöckner Pentaplast declined to provide more details beyond the company's announcement, according to a spokeswoman.
