Maag Pump Systems — whose parent company Dover Corp. last fall bought Gala Industries Inc., the maker of underwater pelletizers, centrifugal pallet dryers and related equipment, and Reduction Engineering Scheer Inc., which supplies pelletizers, rotors and pulverizers — will exhibit its expanded portfolio of products for the first time at Chinaplas in Shanghai.
Chinaplas marks the first trade show where Maag and Gala are exhibiting together.
The Switzerland-based Maag will introduce to China the new MAP6 pelletizer, which has a user-friendly design. The knives are adjusted using a handwheel so the operator can visually monitor knife wear. A new valve diverts the polymer stream between the starting and production position switches in less than one second, ensuring stable startup and shutdown.
Also at Chinaplas, Maag will show the Centro 150 centrifugal dryer, for drying pellets after underwater pelletizing. The Centro is easy to clean, and consumes up to 40 percent less energy that other dryers with similar drying capacity. The Centro was designed in Germany, and is built in China.
Maag also will present the new 200 S version of the Baoli strand pelletizer in Shanghai.
Another Chinaplas highlight: the new Generation 6 of the extrex extrusion pumps. They have smaller dimensions but can turn out a high rate of output, the company said.
Maag is based in Oberglatt, Switzerland.
