Truth be told, I've always loved vehicles with wood grain siding.
Don't know why. Have never owned one. Probably never will.
But that's OK, because I'll soon be able to get my wood grain fix simply by heading down to my local Wal-Mart and checking out the produce section.
The mega retailer is working with Polymer Logistics NV on a redesign of its produce sections, using Polymer's wood grain reusable plastic containers.
Wal-Mart recently recognized Polymer Logistics for its work to transform the departments.
“The ongoing deployment of wood grain RPCs is providing a uniform merchandising look at Wal-Mart stores. The rollout of wood grain RPCs has been a core focus for Polymer since trials at several retail locations in early 2015 and dozens of produce growers have joined the polymer program since the beginning of 2016,” Polymer Logistics said in an announcement.
Calavo Growers, an avocado grower, also was recognized by Wal-Mart as being one of the first users of the wood grain RPCs.
“We are proud to be part of Wal-Mart's initiative to build produce departments with the highest quality product in our wood grain RPCs,” said Gideon Feiner, CEO of Polymer Logistics, in a statement.
I wonder what he drives.
