Continental Structural Plastics Inc. will invest $33.5 million to expand its operations in Huntington, Ind., building a new 130,000-square-foot facility adjacent to its existing 210,000-square-foot plant.
Headquartered in Auburn Hills, Mich., CSP supplies lightweight composite materials and molded parts for automotive and other industries. The company currently employs 323 people in Huntington, and plans to add up to 80 additional production, engineering and administrative jobs by 2020, according to a news release from the Indiana Economic Development Council.
Construction is set to begin in June 2016, with the facility launching operations by late 2017.
The IEDC offered CSP up to $600,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $50,000 in training grants, the release indicates. The company was also offered additional incentives from Huntington County and the city of Huntington.
