Davis-Standard LLC has announced that all sizes of its accumulator heads for blow molding machines are now being manufactured and assembled at the company's main assembly plant in Pawcatuck, Conn.
Davis-Standard began moving the blow molding head production to its headquarters plant in Pawcatuck in 2014, as part of an expansion of in-house manufacturing. Prior to that, the machinery company contracted with local machine shop vendors.
Today, every accumulator head is manufactured in Pawcatuck, including a 75-pound head currently being built for a U.S.-based customer.
The move is part of Davis-Standard's focus to continually improve value to the customer in terms of price, performance and delivery.
