Dart Container Corp. is opening another drop-off recycling center for expanded polystyrene foam, this time in Chicago.
The center, at 7575 Kostner Ave., will be accessible to the public 24 hours a day and at no charge, the company said.
“We offer this service for free and our hope is that this center will encourage Chicago residents to recycle foam materials they might otherwise have thrown away,” said Michael Westerfield, recycling director for Dart, in a statement.
EPS collected through Dart recycling centers can be recycled into a variety of products, including picture frames, baseboard and crown molding, the company said.
