RKW Group is adding capacity and additional products to its plant in Unseburg, Germany, investing 1 million euros ($1.1 million)
The expansion is expected to last through July and prepare it for further profitable growth, the company said in a news release.
RKW highlights that 10 jobs are currently being created at Unseburg along with 20 silos for material storage and a blown film line.
This will allow the site to manufacture plastic geobarriers for construction, environmental and civil engineering applications for the first time, RKW said.
Harald Biederbick, the Chairman of the RKW Group said: “RKW's Sites in Saxony-Anhalt provide about 90 people with work and as a training company, also perspectives for young people. Safe jobs, further and in-house training and ecological responsibility are important to us as a medium-sized, family-owned company."
Unseburg has an in-house recycling plant which has a capacity of 2,500 metric tons per year, which allows the re-use of selected in-house production waste, forming a closed circuit.
