Cleveland — The Society of Plastics Engineers' Rotational Molding Division will hold a Rotomolding TopCon in Independence, Ohio, just south of Cleveland, on June 5-8.
Exhibit hours began late afternoon on June 5, a Sunday, followed by a reception and the division's committee meeting and dinner.
Technical presentations run June 6-7, with plant tours June 8, to two companies in Kent, Ohio: Reduction Engineering Scheer Inc., which supplies pelletizers, rotors and pulverizers, and rotomolding machinery maker ian rotational molding machinery maker Rotoline USA.
Topics will include the growth of rotomolding, equipment innovations, materials, design, consolidation in the sector, part conversions to rotomolding from other processes, tooling, the feasibility of 3-D printed inserts for rotomolding, polymer composites using natural fibers, and process controls.
SPE's managing director, Russell Broome, will speak at the awards dinner June 6.
