The Netherlands-based Oerlemans Packaging Group has announced that it acquired fellow Dutch company Flexpak at the beginning of May.
Carin van Herwijnen-Westerlaken from Oerlemans Packaging told PNE that the financial figure for the deal could not be disclosed.
Flexpak produces laminated foil for the food industries while Oerlemans Packaging states it produces a wide range of plastic flexible packaging solutions.
Former managing director and owner of Flexpak, Thies Oosterhuis, will retire now that the company has been sold. “I am very happy about the acquisition by Oerlemans Packaging. In the end, all employees can continue to work and deliveries to our customers are guaranteed for the future,” Oosterhuis said.
Joan Hanegraaf, director of Oerlemans Packaging Group said: “The acquisition of Flexpak is part of the growth of Oerlemans Packaging. With these new production possibilities we can offer our customer an even wider range of products and services.”
Oerlemans Packaging Group comprises of Oerlemans Plastics, Plasthill, Perfon, O.P.I, Fardem Packaging and now Flexpak.
