China's largest polymer compounder, Kingfa Sci. & Tech. Co. Ltd., is quickly pushing forward its global expansion, scoring manufacturing facilities in both North America and Europe.
The Guangzhou-based company announced that its factory in Bonn, Germany, officially launched production of its first compounding line on June 8.
The company plans to install four production lines with a total annual capacity of 15,000 metric tons for the first phrase of the project. “All lines will be highly automated with flexibility incorporated,” producing PP, HIPS, nylon, and PBT compounds, it said.
Kingfa general manager Li Nanjing, Kingfa Europe general manager Christof Krogmann, Kingfa Europe deputy general manager Sun Donghai attended the opening ceremony.
Kingfa Sci. & Tech. (Europe) GmbH was registered on Jan. 25.
Earlier this year, Kingfa launched its first U.S. production site in Canton, Mich., in March.
