Automotive toolmaker International Mold Corp. is building a new plant in Greer, S.C.
Construction is set to begin next month on a 24,000-square-foot facility near BMW's Performance Center, according to local media reports. The plant will be expandable to 100,000 square feet.
International Mold is headquartered in Clinton Township, Mich., with six plants in the state. The Greer plant will be the company's first reach into the Southeast.
International Mold joins a long list of automotive suppliers to establish operations in South Carolina, where BMW is in the midst of a $1 billion expansion.
International Mold has $20.5 million in annual sales, according to the most recent Plastics News estimates.
