Zory, Poland — Johnson Controls Inc. has launched a new polyurethane foam components production line at its plant in Zory, 250 miles southwest of Warsaw. By the end of 2019, the company aims to invest some 80 million Polish zloty ($22.1 million) in the factory and increase its workforce.
The plant supplies a number of car brands, including Opel, Ford, Fiat, Fiat, and Volkswagen Group. The second line will make PU components for premium automotive brands, such as Porsche and Audi, and in the future, it is to produce parts for Lamborghini, according to the information obtained by local news site Wnp.pl.
The new production line is the second one to be launched at the Polish plant which is located in the Jastrzebsko-Zorska economic zone. This investment has almost doubled production area from 9,000 square meters to 17,500 square meters, the company said.
Johnson Controls bought a stake in the Zory plant from Proseat, a Recticel-Woodbridge jv in 2011.
