Assets of eastern Oklahoma custom injection molder Kenco Plastics Inc. will be sold in an online auction Sept. 7-8.
Branford Group of Branford, Conn., will sell equipment and real estate of the Poteau, Okla., company. Major assets include 40 injection presses from 85 to 2,200 tons, mostly Van Dorn models with a few Haitian and Cincinnati machines included. The newest press is a 300-ton Haitian dated 2014. Maguire blenders and a Conair central loading system also are on the block. Overhead bridge cranes of up to 20 tons are installed in the facility.
Kenco executives notified employees in April that it was shutting down that month. The Poteau operation employed about 200 and molded cosmetic and interior parts for air conditioning units, fans for electric motors and boat seat parts. Potential plastic part customers nearby include Trane Inc. and Rheem Manufacturing Co in Fort Smith, Ark.
