Detroit — Plastics News has added a new regional sales manager and named a new manager to its marketing team.
Kristina Lorio has joined the newspaper as sales manager for the Southern region. She was previously national advertising manager for Flexible Packaging magazine. Prior to that, she held sales positions with BNP Media's Roofing Contractor magazine and POB magazine.
Lorio has a bachelor's degree in business and economics from Wayne State University. She works from PN's headquarters office in Detroit.
“We are fortunate to find such great additions to the Plastics News team. Kristina's two decades of sales experience in business media will be a real asset to our customers looking for creative marketing solutions,” said PN Publisher Brennan Lafferty. “Kristina has deep relationships with many of our advertisers given her years in the packaging market. We're lucky to have her.”
Marketing addition
Elizabeth Raetz started as marketing manager on June 28 in the newspaper's Detroit headquarters.
Most recently Raetz was marketing and development director for Felician Sisters Child Care Centers Inc., a Livonia, Mich., non-profit. Her previous experience includes a stint at the Detroit Media Partnership LP, the company that manages the business operations of the Detroit News and Free Press newspapers.
Raetz has a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Missouri.
“With Elizabeth onboard, our marketing team won't miss a beat,” Lafferty said. “Elizabeth has managed rebranding campaigns and launched websites. And we've got big plans for 2017, so her skillset will be a boon for PN, our readers and our advertisers.”
