Singapore — Dow Chemical Co. has opened a Pack Studios office in Singapore, to collaborate with local customers on new packaging applications.
The office is Dow Chemical's sixth Pack Studios center, and will focus on Southeast Asia.
“The launch of Pack Studios Singapore comes at a timely juncture with the burgeoning consumer class in Asia Pacific, indicative of great potential for packaging growth in this region,” said Mark Saurin, Asia Pacific commercial vice president for Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastics, in an Aug. 8 news release.
The center's capabilities include blown, cast and lamination equipment, rapid prototyping equipment for stand-up pouches, testing equipment and access to modeling and prototyping technologies.
Dow's other Pack Studios facilities are in Freeport, Texas; Horgen, Switzerland; São Paulo; Shanghai; and Mozzate, Italy. The company is based in Midland, Mich.
