Dallas — Fibergrate Composite Structures Inc., a Dallas-based maker of grating made from fiber-reinforced plastic composites, will mark its 50th anniversary in September.
Fibergrate will host events for employees at its Dallas headquarters and its two manufacturing sites in Stephenville, Texas, and Querétaro, Mexico. The company employs more than 300, including many who have worked there since the 1970s.
“I thank each and every one of our valuable employees for continuing to innovate and advance Fibergrate's international footprint,” President Eric Breiner said. “While we're proud to be a global manufacturer, we find the greatest achievement is our commitment to provide personalized service with local teams who work closely with our clients on projects, from beginning to end.”
Fibergrate makes molded grating and also does pultrusion. Its corrosion-resistant products include platforms, ladders, handrails and no-slip stair coverings, used in places like chemical plants, paper mills and offshore oil rigs.
William Coonrod founded the company after he created the first molded fiberglass grating panel in his garage in Dallas.
At the anniversary events, Fibergrate officials will commemorate the company's history and unveil a new tagline, leading the business into the next 50 years.
Fibergrate was a finalist for the Plastics News Processor of the Year Award in 2005.
