Dätwyler Holding AG of Altdorf, Switzerland, is acquiring German company Ott GmbH & Co. KG, which it said will add injection molding expertise — with thermoplastics and liquid silicone — to the group's Sealing Solutions division.
The deal will strengthen and expand the Swiss group's technology and product portfolio in the automotive and healthcare industry, according to an Aug. 10 Dätwyler announcement.
Cleebronn-based Ott employs 200 people and generates an annual revenue of around $36.8 million.
Founded in 1989, the German company specializes in tool making and producing injection-molded parts made from thermoplastic and liquid silicone using single- and multi-component technology.
It produces parts for the medical, automotive and civil engineering industries.
