A new entity, US Roto Molding, has acquired most of the assets of Dixie Poly-Drum Corp., according to its website.
The Yemassee, S.C.-based company said it will continue to supply most of the product lines formerly manufactured by Dixie Poly-Drum. Those include step stools, column protectors, traffic barricades, tanks, drums and barrels.
US Roto Molding said it is the newest in a group of commonly owned molding companies in North America, but officials did not respond to questions.
Dixie Poly-Drum was damaged by a November 2013 fire that forced it to close. It made plastic safety and workplace efficiency products including safety barricades.
