Negri Bossi SpA will kick off its 70th birthday celebration at K 2016 (Hall 15, Stand B22)
The Italian company will debut the Project ELE press, aimed at packaging and medical markets.
Project ELE presses come in 11 sizes, with clamping forces from 50-650 tons.
The press has the new Tectum touch-screen “multi-touch” controller with features such as remote access, built-in camera and simple, gesture navigation.
Another feature is the new “smart flex 2” locking unit with a different toggle geometry designed to be coupled safely with electric closing.
At K, Negri Bossi will show two new X concept clamping units, one with hydraulic actuation and one with electric actuation. The company said the new clamp units are designed to have the benefits of a toggle clamp while competing with two-platen presses in areas such as smaller footprint and cleanliness.
Negri Bossi is based in Milan. The machinery maker's U.S. location, Negri Bossi North America is based in New Castle, Del.
