In 2017, Plastics News will select its first Automotive Newsmaker of the Year award. This award combines insights from the editorial staff and industry suggestions, this special individual will be chosen based on the significant role played in the development of plastics in automotive applications.
The deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, Oct. 28.
The newsmaker will speak at our Plastics in Automotive 2017 conference, set for Jan. 10 at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center.
The honoree will be selected by our editorial team. Here's the criteria: The nominee must be an individual who contributed heavily to automotive plastics in the 2016 calendar year. Nominees can work for OEM, automotive suppliers, design or engineering firms, mold makers, materials or machinery companies or automotive consultants.
We'll announce the award winner in early November.
