Milacron Holdings Corp. will display its brands of Milacron, Ferromatik and Uniloy products of injection molding machines, PET and blowmolding and extrusion equipment at K 2016 in Düsseldorf, Germany, later this month, with the bulk of its machines at Hall 5/C6 and a separate display at Hall 1/A39.
K will mark Milacron's European trade show of its coinjection PET technology — the M-PET 300 — using a coinjection hot runner system and coinjection nozzles from Kortec.
Also in Germany, Milacron is showing its new SmartMold module, which allows different pieces of equipment to talk to each other. SmartMold collects the data and reports it via the cloud or LAN. SmartMold also allows for the scheduling of regular and preventive maintenance.
At K, The SmartMold will operate on the M-PET 300, as well as the Mold-Masters Summit valve gating system display and Mold-Masters' new M-AX six servo axis controller system.
In other advance news for K 2016, Mold-Masters announces that its closure hot runner, Sprint, has new color-change tips. The company claims Sprint improves color change by up to 47 percent, versus a standard gate tip.
The new Mold-Masters' M-AX controller system has the same TempMaster Adaptive Process System used to control temperature in the entire temperature control line, but it also has an unmatched ability to control motion functions, the company said, such as valve stems, core pulls, coining plates, index plates, stripper plates and ejector plates, plus driving Mold-Masters' technologies such as E-Drive, synchro plates and Single Electric Valve Gates (SeVG).
The M-AX technology will be on display at the MDCS booth, in Hall 1.
