Wabash MPI, of Wabash, Ind., has installed a composite molding press at Purdue University's Indiana Manufacturing Institute.
A 250-ton press has platens measuring 42 inches by 42 inches, which are heated and cooled. The machine will help Purdue develop composite molding compounds for the liquid natural gas, wind power and automotive industries.
