Altdorf, Switzerland — Datwyler Group has completed the acquisition of German company Ott, which it said will add injection molding expertise—with thermoplastics and liquid silicone — to the group's Sealing Solutions division.
The previously announced transaction was finalized Sept. 30.
The deal will strengthen and expand the Swiss group's technology and product portfolio in the automotive and health care industry, according to the Datwyler announcement.
Cleebronn, Germany-based Ott comprises Ott GmbH & Co. KG and Ott Geschaftsfuhrungs GmbH. It employs 200 and generates annual revenue of around $33.5 million.
Founded in 1989, the German company specializes in tool-making and producing injection-molded parts made from thermoplastic and liquid silicone using single- and multi-component technology.
