Düsseldorf, Germany — On the cusp of its 75th anniversary, the Society of Plastics Engineers (Hall 11/E21) is highlighting new services and events that it will introduce in the next year.
First up is the SPE Open Innovation Platform, which will launch in November. The web-based platform will link companies that have a development need with others that have a solution.
Also coming is a new SPE Industry Technology Surveys service. This product will allow companies to survey the market for technology trends, as well as for materials or technical evolutions.
SPE also will organize Technology Days on focused subjects. This will allow companies to invite customers and prospects from SPE's network to showcase new products and technologies with experts in the field.
SPE also plans to hold five new events in 2017, including a Medical Plastics conference in Europe; Plastics in Sports and a Plastics in Building and Construction conferences in the United States; an Additive Manufacturing conference in partnership with Plastics News; and a special event in Detroit to celebrate SPE's 75th anniversary.
