Dart Container Corp., a maker of expanded polystyrene products, is getting behind the Recycling Partnership and that group's efforts to promote curbside recycling.
Dart becomes the 25th funding member of the partnership, which provides funds and expertise in the placement of curbside recycling carts in communities around the nation.
Dart already is known for its own efforts to promote and facilitate EPS recycling.
“Efficiency is Dart's cornerstone, and environmental stewardship is core to our work,” said Michael Westerfield, director of recycling for Dart, in a statement. “The Recycling Partnership uses its insights, networks and funding dollars to efficiently leverage improvements across the domestic recycling industry. They've proven themselves in the marketplace.”
Keefe Harrison is executive director of the partnership. “It is because of businesses like Dart Container Corp., with its dedication to recycling, that we are continuing to make strides to build a sustainable future,” she said in a statement.
