Barberton, Ohio — Preferred Compounding Corp. has purchased Trostel Ltd. to expand its growing mixing operation and add product molding to its capabilities.
Terms of the transaction, which is effective Dec. 1, were not disclosed.
Trostel is comprised of two divisions: a custom rubber compounding business and a specialty rubber goods molding operation. It has expertise in both compounding and molding a variety of plastics and high-performance elastomers, Preferred said.
Currently headquartered in Lake Geneva, Wis., the company operates a compounding plant in Whitewater, Wis.; a custom rubber molded products factory in Reynosa, Mexico; and a metal prep facility in McAllen, Texas.
Trostel has a rubber and compound research and development operation in Lake Geneva where the firm also houses its technical support unit.
