My favorite version of Charles Dickens' classic "A Christmas Carol" — you know, the one with Scrooge — is The Muppet Christmas Carol. This was a movie that came out in 1992 and starred legendary actor Michael Caine along with Kermit, Fozzie, Miss Piggy and friends.
Well, that version now may have competition from Earth Day Carol.
This 2013 creation of writer Torran Anderson, artist Jack Hunter and other creative personnel recalls that classic tale through the eyes of Plastic Bottle Scrooge. It goes a little hard on plastics at times, but ends on a positive, pro-recycling note.
There's no Tiny Tim with a plastic crutch, but it's got everything else.
Happy Hollidays!
