Gefran SpA, the Italian maker of industrial process control devices for plastics, launched several new products at K 2016, including an inverter designed for hybrid injection molding machines.
The ADP200 has a special PID function that controls the servo-hydraulic pump efficiently, stably and reactively. The versatile software also is suitable for single-pump and multi-pump systems. the new inverter also features closed-loop vector control logic to handle synchronous motors.
Also at K, Gefran introduced the ADV200-LC, a new series of liquid-cooled inverters for use on electrical and mechanical units, which dramatically reduces the size of the electrical drive section. They are motion control solutions for plastics processing, especially for extrusion and injection molding. Heat is dissipated with water, water-glycol or oil.
Gefran also launched the eXtru+, the compact control system for laboratory extrusion and compounding lines. It is ready to use, fully programmable and comes with advanced functions already built-in.
Another new product from the company from Provaglio d'lseo, Italy, is the GCube Performa, which satisfies the needs of multiple automation architectures, with a special focus on the needs of manufacturers of machines for the plastics transformation and heat treatment markets.
The company's U.S. operation, Gefran Inc., is based in Winchester, Mass.
