Danish auxiliary equipment supplier Labotek A/S, has appointed Kristian Askegaard as its new CEO in a bid to strengthen its global position in the market.
Askegaard is replacing owner Peter Jessen Jürgensen who was also serving as the interim CEO following the departure of Michael Garde in late 2016.
Askegaard has lived and worked in the U.S. and China over the last 10 years holding management positions within B2B manufacturing and technology sectors.
“By building on Labotek's unique experience in making energy efficient solutions while meeting the industry's taxing requirements for reliable equipment, I have strong confidence in our ability to expand globally,” he said.
The new CEO has degrees in economics and business administration.
Labotek, based in Frederikssund, is a maker of conveying and drying equipment for the plastics industry. It currently has subsidiaries in Germany, Sweden and India with sales and service agreements with more than 50 distributors and agents around the world.
