Judges for the upcoming DuPont Packaging Awards are now in place.
Entries and nominations are being accepted through Feb. 10 at www.packagingawards.dupont.com. There is no fee for entry.
Judges will convene in Wilmington, Del., March 13-15 to consider entries based on technological advancement, responsible packaging and enhanced user experience.
This year's judges include: Oktay Aral, pladis; Jason Barber, PepsiCo.; David Luttenberger, Mintel Group Ltd.; Tom Manske, Kellogg Co.; Anirban Mukherjee, Johnson & Johnson; Eric Pavone, Bobst; Hari Reddy, Bemis Co. Inc.; Claire Sarantopoulos, Center of Packaging Technology of the Food Technology Institute; and Richard Smith, Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific.
Luttenberger returns as lead judge.
“The judging process is robust and the face-to-face opportunity gives us a chance to not only interact, but to touch, feel and experience the packaging as the consumer would. That's imperative to the process. Honorees who earn a DuPont Award have worked incredibly hard. They're up against the best and challenged by the best minds in the industry,” said Luttenberger, global packaging director for Mintel, in a statement.
DuPont materials do not need to be used in packaging submitted for recognition. Winners will be notified in late spring.
