Kansas State University's Bulk Solids Innovation Center is offering several courses at the center in Salina, Kan., as well as online.
Pneumatic Conveying of Powders and Bulk Solids is set for March 14-16 in Salina. The class focuses on the design of pneumatic conveying systems, common conveying problems and solutions. Participants will participate in the actual design of a dilute phase pneumatic conveying system, following step-by-step procedures.
Storage and Flow of Bulk Solids, to run April 18-20 in Salina, covers key topics related to bulk and powder solid flow in bins, hoppers and chutes. Class members will participate in a full-scale test laboratory practical session on bulk solids handling.
The courses are coordinated by the Professional Education and Outreach department at Kansas State University's Polytechnic Campus.
