Kansas City, Mo. — Two Kansas City-area toolmakers are co-hosting March 16 plant tours and a workshop for the American Mold Builders Association.
The host companies are Creative Blow Mold Tooling Inc. of Lee's Summit, Mo., and Vector Tool & Engineering of Grandview Mo.
Attendees will explore the company's production operations and see how the firms deliver customer value, plus engage in cross-talk and networking opportunities.
The companies serve different business sectors. Founded in 1984, Creative Blow Mold Tooling manufactures tooling for many of North America's top blow molders. Vector Tool & Engineering offers complete engineering and fabrication of injection molds and tooling for safety lighting products for the automotive and heavy-duty truck markets.
Indianapolis-based AMBA hosts several plant tour workshops each year.
“The tours are a unique opportunity for AMBA members to examine another facility,” explained AMBA Managing Director Kym Conis. “Attendees are able to benchmark their own processes, engage in cross-talk with other manufacturing executives and network with industry peers.”
The plant tour workshop is open to members and non-members and is expected to sell out. For information and to register, visit www.amba.org.
